Installation Note 48415: A "Connection Error" appears when you run the Depot Copy Utility when no FTP server is available

When you run the Depot Copy Utility on a Windows machine and then enter the depot directory path on the remote server, this error message might appear:
Connection Error: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
Then the prompts start over for the Depot Copy Utility, requesting the following information:
Please enter the following options:
Please enter the hostname of the remote server [D74322.na.sas.com]:
Note: The Depot Copy Utility is a console-based FTP program. You use the Depot Copy Utility when a GUI-based FTP tool is not available at your site for situations for copying from Windows to UNIX or mainframe.
For the Depot Copy Utility to work, the remote server has to be running an FTP server, or the error message appears.
To determine whether you have an FTP server running, enter this command at a DOS prompt to see whether it connects:
ftp hostname
